Introduction: Automation is about freedom, not robots.
Welcome to “Automate Your Way to a Holiday”
This course isn’t about becoming a developer, learning Python, or chasing shiny AI objects. It’s about looking at the work you already do—and learning how to do less of it.
You’ll explore your own workflow, spot what’s slowing you down, and come away with 1–3 real, validated automation ideas you can implement or escalate internally.
If you’ve ever felt like your day is just toggling tabs, copying stuff between apps, or chasing approvals... this is for you.
And hey—if all goes well, you might just win back enough time for that long weekend you’ve been putting off.
Please note, that we use British spelling
......and humour.
🌄 Why This Course Exists
A little while back, I caught myself doing something ridiculous.
I was copying the same three rows of data from one tab to another… for the fourth day in a row.
Same clicks. Same scroll. Same paste. Same mental sigh.
I stopped mid-keystroke and thought: This is what robots are for.
But here’s the thing—I didn’t stop because the task was hard.
I stopped because it was pointless. And I knew I could spend that time on something better: planning a workshop, picking up my daughter from school early, taking a long walk instead of a rushed lunch.
That’s what sparked this course.
Because across every team—Ops, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service—there’s someone silently doing those “few-minute” jobs 30 times a week.
No one sees it on a report. But it drains attention, morale, and momentum.
🚧 What This Course Fixes
This course exists to solve the quiet pain of busy work:
- Copy/paste loops that feel inescapable
- Small-but-annoying approvals, nudges, and updates
- Manual tasks that never make it onto a “transformation” plan
- The frustration of knowing something could be better—but not knowing how to start
We’re here to fix that.
You don’t need to be technical. You don’t need permission. You just need curiosity, a willingness to slow down and look at your day, and a bit of guidance on what to do next.
🛠️ By the End, You'll Have:
- 1–3 automation opportunities from your actual workflow
- Tools to map, explain, and even pitch those ideas internally
- The confidence to act—or at least ask better questions
☀️ Final Thought
We’re not chasing “digital transformation.”
We’re reclaiming time for what matters—whether that’s better work or just a full lunch break.
Who knows—maybe even a holiday.
